Lasercutter 2.0
Several upgrades for a K40 laser cutter:
Designed, laser-cut & printed a new front panel
Added an Arduino-powered LCD interface for precise power regulation
Rotating encoder knob to set power level in 1% increments
Default power level can be written to EEPROM
Integrated a water flow sensor: automatically shuts off laser in case of a cooling loop failure

New internal controller: Makerbase MKS SBASE V1.3 32bit
Running Smoothieware, allowing us to use the awesome LightBurn software
Can additionally modulate power via PWM, enabling higher-resolution picture engravings
Line lasers and a top-mounted camera allow easy positioning of work pieces
Air assist: purges debris from the cutting site, allowing for cleaner and deeper cuts
